Dyeing
Raw silk yarns are first degummed with warm water and detergent, then rinsed and conned in a Chadki for weft tying, It is framed to mark motifs, which are tightly tied with impermeable threads to resist dye. The tied yarns are initially dyed in warm water for soft color penetration, followed by high-temperature dyeing to ensure deep absorption, strong color fastness and uniform shades.

Weaving
Weaving in Nuapatna primarily relies on traditional pit looms with some use of semi-automatic frame looms in select areas. These looms are equipped with two paddles, dobby mechanisms and jaal setups.

Finishing
Saree are finished with natural starch made from "refined wheat rinsed water" to add sheen, body and wrinkle resistance. They are then neatly packed with labels and tags in protective wrapping sheets.
