Swarajya Ashram
Established in 1926 by Munim Satya Narayan, the Mallawan Khadi Center in Hardoi, is a major production hub spread over 7.5 acres, located 83 km away from Kanpur. The institution has around 1300–1400 active artisans out of 2000 registered spinners and weavers. The center produces yarn counts ranging from 12s to 50s. Women spinners earn by spinning 250–300 grams per day.

Under the SFURTI Yojana, 150 women work at a dedicated setup in Paho near Rae Bareli. Special coarse yarns (12s and 17s) are spun on Desi Charkha in Jhinjhak and Rura for Lihaaf (heavy quilts), while finer warp counts are spun on New Model Charkhas. All cotton is sourced from KVIC-approved centers.

The cotton for all the processes are procured and sourced from local KVIC registered centers, this ensures the quality of cotton being sourced.
