At the Centre of Excellence for Khadi (CoEK), upcycling is central to promoting circularity and sustainability in fashion.
We transform leftover khadi fabrics into contemporary garments, turning waste into valuable pieces. This approach reduces textile waste, highlights khadi’s versatility in modern design, and merges sustainability with creative heritage.

"पुनः" embodies renewal and transformation
A shedding of the old and a powerful rebirth, much like a phoenix rising. It invites us to let go of past pain and embrace growth through self-reflection and self-discovery.
"पुनः" symbolizes a harmonious blend of sustainability, innovation, and storytelling, celebrating the endless possibilities of renewal in both people and materials.

The Design Process

Cutting the Scrap fabrics into desired shapes and pieces for sampling the designs.

Planning the design before sampling to understand the patterns.

Once sampled, the designs are again scrutinized to understand the feasibility of production.

Final details and trims are added at the time of making the garments.

The stitched garments are then shot to understand the visual appeal of the design.
