Ikat

Khandua Ikat is a traditional single Ikat weaving technique of Odisha, where weft yarns are carefully tied and resist-dyed before weaving to create its distinctive design patterns. Practised primarily in Nuapatna and parts of the Sambalpur region, this heritage craft is traditionally woven in mulberry silk and tussar silk yarns. It showcases exceptional precision, intricate motifs, and vibrant colour stories, reflecting the timeless artistry of Odisha's handloom tradition.
